Welcome to the Andersen K-1 Autism classroom.  It's going to be a GREAT school year!

I have been teaching for a total of 15 years in both general education and special education.  I began my career teaching preschool and kindergarten and did that for 10 years.  Five years ago I decided to make the switch to special education and started a Graduate Program at St. Thomas University.  I received my EBD and ASD licenses, as well as a Masters Degree in Education.  This is my first year in Minneapolis Public Schools and I could not be more excited!  I have been working as a special education teacher at a charter school in Minneapolis for the last few years, and before that I worked in the 196 District teaching preschool and elementary education.

I have been married for 13 years and have two sons who are 12 and 10.  In my free time I enjoy watching my boys  play football and basketball, and I like watching all types of movies.

I love being an educator, and I am so excited to begin a new teaching adventure here at Andersen.  Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions or concerns.

See you soon!!
