I began teaching 6th grade science at Andersen United Community School in 2009. I have been teaching science in Minneapolis since 2004. Teaching science is my second career and I love it! I received my teaching license from Hamline University in 2003. I received my first degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and worked as an engineer for 15 years before I decided it was time for a change.
I believe we all have an important job - taking care of our families, our community, our city, our country and the world. We can do this best if we are educated and we have learned how to make good choices and decisions. Understanding science is a big part of doing our job.
