Mary Leoni – Autism Instructor
Mary has worked in the City-Wide Autism program for 15 yrs. All of her experience had been at the Andersen complex within the different schools during that duration. She has served children in the K-5 grades teaching adaptive math, literacy and social skill development. She works to development students with autism in their independence, communication, social integration, and inclusive connections with their mainstream peers. She is a mother of 3 children who graduated from Mpls. Public Schools in addition of working as a Foster Parent for 25 years. Other employment experience include vocational/career counseling with high school and adults experiencing vision/hearing loss for 25 years in addition to volunteering as a middle school athletic coach in baseball and baseball. She holds formal licensure in Physical Education, Coaching, Administration, Special Education (Emotional Behavipl Development) and has application for Autism licensure. She is excited to enter her 40th year of professional work of which this will be her 16th year in the Autism Program.
